Saturday day live

Some pictures I took on Saturday. I baked some cupcakes, I didn't want to do any other work so I baked and i am glad I did. =) I still have a lot of icing left.

Rain

It was raining like crazy the other day. Some much water everywhere. 

sponge almond cake

Here is the sponge cake recipe. Sponge cake is all about much you beat the eggs. Longer the better.
This recipe has worked well for me.....give it a try.

1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter

Heat milk and butter just below boiling and set aside

 Beat 6 eggs for 4-6 mins

Add 2 cups of sugar 
combine and add 
2 and half cups  flour, baking powder, half teaspoon salt
add and blend slowly 

1 teaspoon vanilla essences
add the heated milk and butter mixture

You can add some almonds and raisins if you want. 

Pour into oiled baking pan
bake 30 to 40 mins at 350 F

winter sun

Today is cold

It's so cold today. I am under lots of layer and still my nose is cold.  One of favourite cup because of the pictures of flowers on it . Its so nice to have a hot cup of tea.

Making a Christmas cake

I has already made some Christmas cakes before I left for my holidays. But they all got finished too fast so made some more. =)
